Deadmau5 punched in the head by local DJ in Australia

Canadian DJ Deadmau5 performed at the Creamfields in Brisbane, Australia last weekend and was punched by an unidentified local DJ who was not receptive to his criticism of song choice at the show’s afterparty.
The electro-house DJ, real name Joel Zimmerman, approached the DJ booth and requested a song swap. After the DJ refused, Deadmau5 apparently walked away, but was later punched in the back of the head by the DJ who then sought him out later in the evening.
On his twitter page Deadmau5 wrote, “birdee nightclub in Brisbane… opening DJ came at me later in the night and decided to punch me in the back of the head,” after previously stating “Thank god for creamfeilds tonight, coz the music at the afterrparty is fucking god awful.” [NME]
