Vanilla Ice set to play Captain Hook in a pantomime version of Peter Pan

Just because he placed sixth on BBC1’s Dancing On Ice [Ice Baby] earlier this year, doesn’t mean Vanilla Ice (real name Robert Van Winkle) is without career options. Case in point: the rapper recently won the role of Captain Hook in a pantomime version of Peter Pan.

This is not an April Fool’s joke.

Set to take place at the Central Theatre in Chatham, UK this winter, the production will mark Van Winkle’s debut in the mime circuit, in which he will hopefully stop, collaborate and listen to the director at the helm. [via NME]
