On April 25, Ben Folds, Damian Kulash of OK Go, Amanda Palmer, and author Neil Gaiman will attempt to reproduce an entire album cycle—the writing, the recording, and the performing of it—down to just eight hours. Just like one lil’ ol’ regular work day.

As part of the Rethink Music Conference in Boston, the musicians will attempt the ultimate connection of performer and fan, or as Kulash puts it, “they send us ideas and a day later we have an album, a show, and some semblance of a documentary,” going on to add “and then the next day (we hope), a big public flameout and a battle over rights and the release of competing slanderous autobiographies.”

The next day, Basia Bulat and Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears will join the other four for a private conference concert. [via Alternative Press]
