Trent Reznor releasing new How To Destroy Angels album

A day before he and Atticus Ross would win their first Academy Award in the Best Original Score category for The Social Network, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor revealed to Billboard that a new album from his side project How To Destroy Angels will be released later this year.

“I just finished recording a How to Destroy Angels project with my wife (Mariqueen Maandig),” Reznor said. “We have to mix it. [It will be out in the] early fall, most likely.”

Similar to the band’s debut EP from last year, this new record will be released online for free at a low bit rate from their official website. Fans will then be able to purchase a physical copy or digital download with better sound quality. It’s expected it will come out before the release of Reznor’s next film score for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
