This morning's new music news; The Sadies have postponed all of their Canadian tour dates on the west coast after member Dallas Good broke his leg, Soundgarden say they're hoping to release a new album this year and The Strokes have announced a gig in New York City for April 1.

The Sadies have postponed all of their upcoming Western Canadian dates after the band’s Dallas Good broke his leg in Saskatoon. Apparently Good slipped on some ice suffering a compound fracture in his knee that required surgery. [Exclaim!]

Soundgarden announced via their official website yesterday that the band has been “busy jamming, writing and hanging out together — exploring the creative aspect of being Soundgarden” and are looking to release a new album sometime this year.

And The Strokes will play at Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 1, one day before LCD Soundsystem’s perform one of their final gigs. Tickets go on sale February 25. [Twitter]
