Gucci Mane gets an ice cream cone tattooed on his face

And in what could be the greatest insanity plea since the Twinkie defence of 1979, Gucci Mane recently got the image of an ice cream cone tattooed onto his right cheek for reasons unknown to anyone but Mane and . . . well, Mane.

Thanks to a parole violation and erratic driving charges, the rapper has a sentencing hearing scheduled for January 24, but has since been sent to a medical treatment facility for what TMZ has deemed a “special plea of mental incompetency”.

Courtesy of an employee from an Atlanta-based tattoo shop, Hip-Hop Wired has posted the TwitPic of Mane and his new ink, depicting a triple-scoop ice cream cone (double scoops are for wimps!) shooting out lightening bolts, with the word “Brrr” branded across the cone itself. No word on whether Mane has plans to collaborate with Ice-T or Ice Cube for a frozen treat-inspired track. [via Exclaim!]

UPDATE: Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Gucci Mane’s spokesperson has confirmed that the tattoo is “a reminder to fans of how he chooses to live his life. Cool as ice. As in, ‘I’m so icy, I’ll make ya say Brrr.'” No word yet on whether this is what Mane will do for a Klondike. [via Rolling Stone]
