Coldplay performed at a charity gig this past weekend alongside members of Take That as well as Chris Martin’s dad to support a new homeless centre in Liverpool called Crisis. To end their set the band played the new single “Christmas Lights”, marking the first time it’s been performed live before an audience.

The band are currently at work on their upcoming fifth studio album that is apparently influenced by “graffiti art of the 70s in New York” and the White Rose movement.

“Christmas Lights” is currently available on iTunes. Watch the Liverpool performance of it below.
