This morning's new music news; Tim Buckley's self-titled debut from 1966 will be reissued in January, Wye Oak will release their new album 'Civilian' in March and jazz musician/composer Billy Taylor died earlier this week of heart failure.

Tim Buckley’s self-titled debut from 1966 will be reissued by Rhino Handmade featuring 22 bonus tracks and remastering from original engineer Bruce Botnick. The two-disc album will be released on January 11. [Exclaim!]

Wye Oak are set to release their new album entitled Civilian on March 8 via Merge following 2009’s The Knot and the My Neighbor/My Creator EP, released earlier this year. Starting January 19, the Baltimore duo will be touring North America with the Decemberists. [Consequence of Sound]

And Billy Taylor, a jazz musician and composer who is widely known for introducing the genre to a wider audience while he was a TV broadcaster died Tuesday of heart failure in New York. He was 89.
