Sufjan Stevens' "Barcarola" feat. Aaron and Bryce Dessner

Recently The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner took over BBC 6 Mix and debuted two new Christmas songs featuring Sufjan Steven and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry. The track “Barcarola (You Must Be A Christmas Tree)” is currently available to stream below and download for free over at a pretty sweet website called Between hipsters and God there is Sufjan Stevens. According to the site, the track is from the unreleased Songs For Christmas Volume 6 (Gloria!).

The other track the makeshift quartet recorded, a version of “Silent Night”, is also available on Stevens’ website.
