The Orb & David Gilmour’s new album Metallic Spheres, which is out today, is currently streaming online over at Exclaim!. According to the Orb’s Alex Paterson the project is “a collision that’s been waiting to happen with Pink Floyd/David Gilmour and the Orb orbiting many of the same planets.” [Exclaim!]

The Rolling Stones will release two limited edition vinyl box sets this November comprising 23 studio albums, EPs and compilation albums. Each set will be split up chronologically with the first consisting of material the band released from 1964-69 and the other from 1971- 2005. A UK release date has been set for November 22. [NME]

And last night The xx performed the track “Crystalised” on Jimmy Kimmel Live from their Mercury Prize-winning debut album. Watch it below.
