Bruno Mars booked for narcotics charge in Las Vegas

Las Vegas police have confirmed singer/songwriter Bruno Mars, who co-wrote K’naan’s World Cup anthem “Wavin’ Flag,” was arrested early Sunday morning at the Hard Rock Hotel on suspicion of narcotics possession.

According to Sgt. John Sheahan, Mars (Peter Hernandez) was arrested at 2:40 a.m. when hotel security confronted him in a bathroom where he was found with narcotics. What type of narcotics in Hernadez’s possession was not released.

Recently the musician/producer was known for singing and co-writing the songs “Nothin’ On You” by B.o.B,  “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy and “Right Round” by Flo Rida. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
