This morning in new music; Stone Temple Pilots will tour North American for the rest of summer, Deadmau5 has been forced to cancel his upcoming shows after collapsing on-stage this past weekend and a new Michael Jackson album is set to come out this November.

Stone Temple Pilots will tour North America for the rest of the summer starting with a show in Winnipeg on August 7. The band, who recently released a new self-titled album, their first since 2001’s Shagri-La Dee Da, will also play at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on August 29. No other Canadian dates have been scheduled. [NME]

After collapsing during a show Friday night Deadmau5 has been forced to cancel a string of upcoming shows. A statement from management read, Last night, whilst performing onstage at the 9:30 club in Washington DC, deadmau5 collapsed, suffering exhaustion and vomiting. Medics at the venue took him directly to hospital where he is now under supervision. Deadmau5 is sad to advise his fans that on the strict advice of the doctors, he now has no choice but to cancel the next 9 shows of his Summer tour schedule to allow for his recovery. [Exclaim!]

And according to Rolling Stone a new Michael Jackson album featuring 10 unreleased songs will come out this November. Apparently Jackson left hard drives filled with music he recorded that will be released to go along with a 10-project deal the Jackson estate has signed with Sony Music. [Rolling Stone]
