His gigs in Ottawa and at Osheaga have been cancelled however he will still play Toronto at the Mod club on September 3 at in Montreal at the Belmont the next evening. [Exclaim!]

New York City police have arrested Ice-T on accusations of driving with a suspended license. According to police the rapper was driving his Cadillac near West 40th Street and 11th Avenue when they pulled him over for not wearing a seat belt. They discovered his license was suspended and made the arrest. Police say he will be given a ticket and released. For those unaware, Ice-T plays Detective Fin Tutuola on the TV drama “Law & Order.” [Billboard]

And Sex Pistol John Lydon has shown some of his ‘no bollocks’ charm by calling Gorillaz “shit” and not original enough. In an interview with NME the Public Image Ltd singer said, “I really don’t wanna talk about shit like the Gorillaz, you know what I mean? I think there’s less original talent now than 30 years ago. It’s much more manufactured. And the shame is I opened so many doors for so many people and they’ve all foolishly slammed it behind them. So what you get now is a melange of shit.” [NME]
