Update 2: Video has finally emerged of the incident. Watch it below. Thanks to Jake in the comments for the tip. Was the drama overblown by the media (AUX included)?

Update: While we do rarely get editorial on news items, the popularity and reaction to this story necessitates that we take a stance. We are FOR Alice standing for herself and against “crowd-surfing groping”. Crowd surfing, while obviously inviting touching, does not make groping acceptable. Thanks, internet. – Michael

According to a report by NME, Crystal Castles singer Alice Glass lashed out at a male audience member during the band’s set at Latitude festival on Saturday after she was apparently groped.

The report says Glass was crowd surfing for most of the set until she starting throwing punches aimed at an audience member beneath her yelling, “You touch my tits, I kick you in the fucking head.” Apparently she then spat in the audience’s direction.

For the remainder of the set, which had only consisted of 20 minutes thus far, Glass rarely sang and before storming off-stage before the rest of her band she threw her microphone at the drum riser. Upon the rest of the band exiting, well before they were scheduled to stop performing, some audience members at the back of the crowd booed, no doubt missing out on what transpired earlier in the set.

The band’s latest self-titled album, their second, was included on the longlist for this year’s Polaris Muisc Prize.
