“Folks you might want to put the kids to bed early for this,” David Letterman said before introducing Courtney Love last night for an interview and performance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Coherent during the interview and openly discussing her past drug addictions during what she calls ‘the Letterman years,’ Love eventually took the stage at the end of the program with her all male band to perform “Skinny Little Bitch” off Hole’s recently released album Nobody’s Daughter.

No offense to the song or the new disc, but this live take is somewhere between lame and dull. Not sure what happened in the time between the interview and the performance, where we saw quite an energetic and excited to be here Courtney Love, to the woman standing there seeming to be uninterested and going through the motions. Love has gotten a little older and unfortunately it appears the need to rock has evaporated as well.
