Arts & Crafts artist Timber Timbre, whose latest self titled album was a longlist nominee for last year’s Polaris Music Prize, performed songs at Daytrotter Studio, released today.

The band’s name derives from lead singer’s Taylor Kirk’s old guitar and the yell of his father when trees crashed. They have released two albums prior to last years: 2006’s Cedar Shakes and 2007’s Medicinals. Recordings for the latest album began in 2008 at Kirk’s home studio and were finished at the Lincoln County Social Club in Grimsby, Ontario with producer Christ Stringer.
