This morning's new music roundup; Shins fans will have to wait for a new album, 150 Metallica fans arrested in Chile and Woodhands melted our faces last night at their secret show.

It has been three years since The Shins released Wincing the Night Away and fans may only have wait another year to hear some new material. In an interview with MTV, frontman James Mercer said that after finishing a project with Danger Mouse, the band may have a new release in 2011. [MTV]

This past Tuesday, a policeman was injured and up to 150 people were arrested after a riot broke out at a Metallica concert in Santiago, Chile. Authorities said that most of the arrests took place when hundreds of fans without tickets tried to barge their way into the Club Hipico horse racing grounds. [LAHT]

And last night Woodhands played a secret show at the Smiling Buddha in Toronto. We’ve got something special planned with the duo that we’ll tell you about very soon. [Chromewaves]
