Courtney Love and daughter Frances Bean Cobain are reportedly in the words of developing a Kurt Cobain biopic, telling a Filipino newspaper that the film could go into production as early as next year.

Details on the film are otherwise sparse; Love says that both Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl will have a say in the film, but that she’s otherwise retaining 100 per cent control over it.

“I am leading the charge because it’s time to do this,” Love told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

As for casting grunge’s prodigal son, Love says she’s mostly leaving that up to her agents. Still, she has high hopes after receiving her first batch of demo reels.

“That was really tough because these boys are so pretty, so cute. I won’t name names because I don’t want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts,” said Love. “There’s a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces.”

A Courtney Love-spearheaded Kurt Cobain biopic starring the next Brad Pitt? We’ll believe it when we see it.
