With word that Andrew WK is set to tour with Black Sabbath we're wondering if it's in lieu of having defibrilators on site. Andrew WK is of course the most energetic man on the planet, probably. Most recently he completed a 24-hour marathon on the drums, and he is otherwise known as a beacon of energy, positivity and party.

With word that Andrew WK is set to tour with Black Sabbath we’re wondering if it’s in lieu of having defibrilators on site.

Andrew WK is of course the most energetic man on the planet, probably. Most recently he completed a 24-hour marathon on the drums, and he is otherwise known as a beacon of energy, positivity and party.

Black Sabbath on the other hand are, uh… super old. And, if you’ve heard 13, almost proud of it. Not that they shouldn’t be. After more than 40 years together, they achieved their first chart topping success with their latest album, but as for their latest tour, nobody’s as excites as Andrew WK. Surprising, right?

Here’s what he has to say on the tour:

I’m just shocked. It’s just the most incredible dream come true! This is the greatest honor I could be given. I remember when the phone rang and I first heard that Black Sabbath wanted me to be their exclusive opening act. I was really in a state of disbelief – almost sick with amazement and excitement. It took about 3 days until I fully mastered the reality of this opportunity and realized it was really going to happen. Black Sabbath’s music changed my life from the first time I heard it, and this tour will change my life all over again. I couldn’t be more thankful or humbled by this one-in-a-billion miracle. Can this really be real!? What kind of adventure will this be!?

Canadians can catch the tour when it hits Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on August 14th and Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on August 22nd. Get stoked. [via Pitchfork]
