The Chicago Blackhawks will be without their starting goalie for up to three weeks with reports that Corey Crawford, who was last seen wearing a walking boot, has sustained a “lower-body” injury.

So how did he get hurt? Not in practice, and not in a game. No, according to Crawford, he hurt his foot at a Rise Against concert. He says he’s “pretty embarrassed” and “frustrated” with the injury.

“I was at a concert the other day and was on the way out and missed a step and I didn’t think it was that bad,” Crawford said. “I woke up the next day and it was worse than I thought.

He hasn’t said whether booze was involved, but a Deadspin commenter says he talked to Crawford, who he says was “fucking wasted.”

Do you think he really hurt his foot on the stairs? Us, we’re wagering it’s some sort of mosh injury. Say what you will about their poppier works, “Black Masks and Gasoline” can still rip up a mosh pit.
