The former Habs superstar promises to honour his $10 million donation to the Montreal Children's Hospital.

Last year, star NHL defenceman P.K. Subban pledged $10 million over seven years to the Montreal Children’s Hospital, which it described at the time as “the biggest philanthropic commitment by a sports figure in Canadian history.”

He sought to assist families of ailing children struggling financially, and if anyone was concerned that Subban’s June trade to the Nashville Predators would affect the arrangement, they needn’t have been worried – standing in the hospital’s atrium bearing his name, the Toronto native assured his former city that “my jersey might change, but what I support will always stay the same.”

Doubling down, Subban has also shared a new song and music video penned by Canada’s second favourite rapper. The Yoana-backed “Year One” is hokey (not hockey) as hell, but also impossible to smile at — watch as the hospital’s enthusiastic young patiences bust a move alongside hospital staff and just try to say something mean.

Big ups, Subbanator.
