He even changed his name to Kardinal D'Offishall. D'oh!

We’re extremely passionate about Kraft Dinner here in Canada. Heck, we’d give that neon orange goop power of attorney if we could. That’s why we recommend that you take a seat as we break some troubling news to you…

Kraft Dinner is no more.

HEY! HEY! STEP BACK FROM THE LEDGE! Our trusted cheapo macaroni and cheese is still around, it’s just undergone a branding change. A goofy one at that.

Kraft Dinner is now officially known as “KD”, which will presumably appeal to Millennials that like to Periscope Snapchats while riding on their Cyberboards or whatever. Kraft trumpeted the name change on Twitter.

“You may recognize our new name from what you’ve always called us,” proclaimed the food-esque product.

The company has tapped Toronto rapper Kardinal Offishall to serve as the spokesperson that will get Canada through this rebranding crisis.

The “Husslin” hip-hop star appeared on Breakfast Television to get hosers acclimatized to the KD era.

“Everybody, everywhere, we’ve all grown up on Kraft Dinner,” proclaimed Kardinal. “And for decades Canadians have called it KD.”

To show his commitment to the rebranding of Kraft Dinner (and hopefully because Kraft paid him semi-handsomely), Kardinal tweaked his name as well.

“Because of their love and appreciation for the fans, they officially changed the name to KD so in solidarity with them I am also changing my name to Kardinal D’Offishal, so I’m KD with KD,” he said.

Don’t worry, we’ll stick up for you if you’d still like to call it Kraft Dinner. We have a compound in northern Manitoba where a resistance movement is growing. We’re not an effective resistance because we exclusively eat the stuff, but it’s more of a general principle thing.
