Ah December, time of the year-end list. Quite possibly the most expensive Canadian list at the moment is the 2011 Verge Music Awards by XM Radio where both Artist and Album of the Year winners will get $25,000 and the Emerging Artist will get $5,000. The nominees were just announced, with artists such as Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Forest City Lovers, Stars and Tokyo Police Club reigning strong.

The third annual award ceremony will take place on March 1 at Toronto’s Mod Club. Who wins depends on who you vote for, which you can do on Verge Music’s website until January 31st.
