Yesterday at the SXSW festival underway in Austin, TX, the day seemed to be all about a brand new breakout act named “Bruce Springsteen” who is so obscure he seems to have eluded all the best buzz blogs. I mean, I’ve never even heard one remix of him.

Bruce delivered the festival’s keynote yesterday (listen to the whole thing here), as well as held a small-scale show at the 3,000-capacity Moody Theater. A ton of guests joined Bruce throughout the night and contributed to the all-star up-and-comers finale: Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne and Win and Will Butler, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, members of The Low Anthem, The Animals’ Eric Burdon, Joe Ely, and more performed Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land.”

Consequence of Sound has some great video; watch the footage below so you can say you knew these on-the-cusp artists when.
