Sonny Moore revisits his emo roots.

UPDATE: The fine folks at Idobi managed to capture some fantastic footage of the set. Check it out below.

Skrillex, aka Sonny Moore, recently reunited with his old second-wave emo band From First To Last for one-off single “Make War,” but until now, it appeared that it was going to remain exactly that: a one-off, a gift for longtime fans without an attendant full reunion or any shows with the original lineup. Well, fans can now get a little bit more excited about the possibility of a full-scale FFTL reunion as they break out their old fingerless gloves and striped hoodies, because for the first time in a decade, Skrillex played a show with his old band.

The surprise appearance took place last night at a gig in Los Angeles, fittingly at an event called Emo Night, and fans were beyond excited to see Sonny Moore back on vocals for the first time since 2007.

The band ran through seven of their old songs from the albums Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count and Heroine. Of course, just as with the release of “Make War”, there’s once again no word on whether or not Skrillex returning to the emo well means there will be a full tour or new album from FFTL, but hold on to those black rubber bracelets and white belts just in case.
