2017 nominees include Alessia Cara, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Drake.

The nominees for the 2017 edition of the Juno Awards have been announced, and they’re as an eclectic and wide-ranging celebration of Canadian talent as ever.

Drake, The Weeknd, and Shawn Mendes lead the pack this year, with five nominations apiece. Alessia Cara and Leonard Cohen (RIP) follow close behind with four nods each.

The Tragically Hip also earned multipled nominations including group of the year and rock album of the year, with Gord Downie earning a solo nomination for his Secret Path project.

Once again, Michael Bublé will be hosting the live broadcast on April 2nd, and confirmed performers include A Tribe Called Red, the Strumbellas, Ruth B, as well as Cara and Mendes.
