The National Post really hates Metallica

Last night, Metallica stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show to do some cutesy Jimmy Fallon shit. It was, like the rest of his show, mostly disposable.

With the Roots in tow, the aging metalheads performed, like Adele, Mariah Carey, and so on before them, one of their classics on kindergarten instruments.

Like most Metallica fans, we had our problems with this – seriously Lars, one drum and you can’t even play that? But our confusion is nothing compared to the National Post’s Dustin Parkes, who seemed to have been sent into an apopleptic rage by the performance. This morning, the Post, one of our country’s two national newspapers, published this:

That is the entire post. Has the National Post gone full Gawker? Is this funny? It’s at least as funny as that time they mistakenly wrote Britpoop in a headline. We honestly can’t be sure. One thing we’re certain of is, however, that this is probably going to be taken down soon, so enjoy it while it lasts.
