Obama's entry-level turntable situation is not befitting of a President.

Architectural Digest magazine sadly confirms what we’ve all suspected for the last 8 years: Barack Obama is an entry-level vinyl scrub. At least to the legions of audiophiles populating the internet, anyway.

The President’s turntable situation was revealed in the latest issue of the magazine as part of a wider feature on the Obama White House. WARNING: vinyl newjack-tier setup above, so avert your audiophile gaze if this kind of thing might trigger a fatal scoff.

As identified by Reddit, that’s a Denon DP-300F turntable with Bluetooth Kanto YU5 monitors, with a possible Audioengine S8 subwoofer. Also pictured: Al Green’s Greatest Hits and Alma Thomas’ painting Sky Light. While not complete garbage, I expected a superior setup from the leader of the free world… is what I would say if I were an insufferable vinyl blowhard.

Fortunately, there’s plenty of those on the internet, and they’ve already done the heavy lifting:

They’re right though: those speakers really shouldn’t be sitting on the same surface as the turntable, but I’ll let it slide.

Oh well, I shudder to think about what Trump’s setup looks like. Lemme guess: a freshly-purchased Crosley Cruiser *shudder*.
