D.R.A.M. and Neil Young have been working with Rick Rubin.

It’s official: the guy who wrote “Heart of Gold” and the Virginia rapper with a heart of gold are collaborating. Canada’s favourite folk icon Neil Young has been in the studio with Big Baby D.R.A.M. (does real ass music), a confirmation that comes after months of speculation that the two might be working on music together.

The sessions have been taking place in Malibu at legendary producer/shopping mall Santa Claus Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios. Footage of D.R.A.M. and Young hanging around the studio was released via Is My Shit Tight?, and while it doesn’t divulge many specifics, its revealed that the projects include Nico Segal’s Social Experiment Band, as well as R&B singer Telana.

D.R.A.M. explained in an interview with Brooklyn Magazine that he and Young collaborated on each other’s records: “I worked on one of his records, he worked on one of my records.” Drake’s macabre “Hotline Bling” borrowed beats and elements from D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha,” so one can only hope that Neil Young will end up on a Drake track via D.R.A.M. one day.

Check out footage of the sessions below.
