The Rolling Stones, Queen and the Beatles have all had it with the Donald's song choices.

About a month ago, Neil Young was pissed off to discover that Donald Trump hadn’t stopped using “Rockin’ In The Free World” as the singer had suggested and had some choice words for the presidential candidate – well, just two, actually. But Neil isn’t the only rock legend irritated by Trump’s co-opting of their music. In fact, the salesman of fear with the straw hair has managed to piss off a swath of beloved musicians an entire ocean away during this week’s Republican National Convention.

After walking onstage to Queen’s “We Are The Champions” on the first night of the RNC (which he had done previously, and been berated for, by Brian May), the band released a statement saying they were “frustrated by the repeated unauthorized use of the song after a previous request to desist, which has obviously been ignored by Mr. Trump and his campaign.”

George Harrison’s family, meanwhile, was none too pleased with the use of the Beatles song “Here Comes the Sun” during Ivanka Trump’s introduction, tweeting that its use was not only unauthorized but “offensive and against the wishes of the George Harrison estate.”

As for Free singer Paul Rodgers, he made it clear he wasn’t fucking around with the following terse statement: “Permission to use “All Right Now” was never sought for or granted by me. My lawyer is dealing with this matter – Paul.”

In the face of all this, you might think Trump would back down a bit. Silly human – if we’ve learned one thing, it’s that The Donald couldn’t give two shits about ‘permission’ or ‘professional courtesy’ or that other made up thing…oh yeah, ‘common decency.’

In May, The Rolling Stones requested that Trump “cease all use immediately” of the song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” Well, you can guess which tune capped off his 75-minute acceptance speech. It’s all the more ballsy considering Keith Richards once threatened Trump with a knife for – wait for it – promoting himself using the band as a promotional platform against their will. NME has since claimed a band source ominously told them the following: “This is unlikely to go further. We asked politely, Trump has ignored us.” Take hold of your toupées, guys, shit could get real.
