"He terrorized kids, he threw them in the garbage. I got thrown in the garbage by him."

Now that emperor Trump has ascended to the throne, maybe it’ll once again become normal to bully manbun-sporting drama nerds who write historical rap musicals, instead of venerate them like they’re the second coming of Sophocles. Hell, that would almost make the whole election worth it! *Disclaimer: may not be actual opinion*.

Yes, Hamilton writer and Hillary demographic magnet Lin-Manuel Miranda’s teenage years were apparently difficult due to bullying, but the identity of his tormentor is surprising: it was Reince Priebus! Felipe Coronel, before he become firebrand political rapper Immortal Technique.

“He was our school bully,” Miranda told Marc Maron on this week’s episode of the comedian’s WTF podcast. “He terrorized kids, he threw them in the garbage. I got thrown in the garbage by him,” Miranda continued. Miranda even had to contend with Immortal stepping onto his turf at one point: “He got a part senior year [in a school play] and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m in a fucking play with the dude that scares the shit out of all my friends.”

No hard feelings, though: Miranda has apparently forgiven Felipe, and has nothing but high praise for his subsequent career as the woke, Illuminati-fearing teen’s preferred rapper.

“He’s one of the most political, ideological [artists], he really made an incredible life for himself as a rapper. He was a really angry kid and it’s been wonderful to watch him grow up and find a political outlet for that anger.” Yep, sounds like something someone still smouldering with pent-up, unresolved resentment towards a former tormentor might say. I wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda gave Immortal a part in his new rap musical about, I don’t know, Grover Cleveland, only to humiliate him in front of all his hip-hop peers, Carrie-style. *Cue irritatingly twee rap about protective tariffs or whatever*
