Beethoven's 250th birthday part is, as the kids say, about to be lit.

Ludwig van Beethoven may have died almost two centuries ago, but that’s not stopping his home country from popping off in celebration of what would be his 250th birthday. Coming up in 2020, Germany has planned nationwide programming to commemorate the milestone, and they’ve set a budget of $39 million for it.

Germany’s Commissioner for Culture and Media, Monika Grütters, announced that the monstrous allotment had been secured, a large piece of which will go to Beethoven’s hometown of Bonn. The money will fund a series of concerts, events and programming starting in 2017, continuing through to the final celebration in 2020. Many in Bonn anticipate a cultural and economic resurgence thanks to the upcoming programs, reports this German-language release.

The anniversary’s official logo is a stylized abbreviation of “Beethoven,” reportedly based on the composer’s own signature that used only consonants.
