The music industry is doing great!
Last November, we told you that famous cellist (and Metallica collaborator) David Teie had started writing and recording music for cats. Not, like, “cool cats,” in a jazzy, Sammy Davis Jr. type of way, but kitty cats.
Teie got the project off the ground on Kickstarter, where he raised $241,551, shattering his $20,000 goal. Nearly 12 months later, it’s paying off. Music for Cats has already topped Amazon UK’s Classical Orchestra Music chart, and it’s #2 on iTunes UK’s Classical music chart.
And to think, some people are worried the music industry is failing.
