For those about to meme, we salute you.

The internet’s never gonna give him up, or let him down, or desert him… at least, not for another few years anyway, until his meme stock is used up. And now, 80’s English musician, Grohl fave, and the world’s official ginger ambassador Rick Astley is showing off his rock chops by covering an undisputed anthem… on the drums.

Astley was finishing up a Los Angeles show last night when he decided to hop behind the kit to cover AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell.” Looks like someone was angling for that open frontman position. Astley probably would’ve been a better choice than what we got, honestly.

“Do you wanna rock? Yes, I know, hearing me say that probably sounds a bit weird,” Astley says as he introduces the song. Actually, hearing Astley say anything at all in 2016 is the weirdest part.
