Hear the former AC/DC frontman sing on the comedian's 'respectable' metal album.

Could anyone have guessed that the guy from Half Baked a.k.a. SNL‘s “Goat Boy” would one day release a metal album featuring AC/DC’s Brian Johnson? That’ll become a reality on Friday, May 27th, when Jim Breuer and his band the Loud & Rowdy will drop Songs From The Garage.

Breuer has previously described the album as “respectable” and that’s confirmed with his signing to Metal Blade, along with the appearance of his old friend Brian on two songs. Johnson’s signature screech can be heard on “My Rock n Roll Dream” and the heavily AC/DC inspired “Mr. Rock n Roll”, which you can stream below:

As for the rest of the album, if the video for “Thrash” is any indication, Breuer’s description of 1980s-style “hard rock and metal for my generation” will come complete with hacky jokes about calling in sick to work and his wife nagging him to do chores. It also includes song titles like “Raising Teenage Girls”, “Be a Dick 2Nite”, and “Family Warrior”, so you should get the gist.

Breuer sparked speculations earlier this year that Johnson had been “kicked to the curb” by the other members of AC/DC after being told by doctors to “stop touring immediately” due to hearing loss issues. The comedian’s comments were later clarified as suspicions only, though a statement from Johnson on his retirement failed to make mention of the replacement by Axl Rose.
