The ex-husband of Kurt Cobain's daughter refuses to return his guitar worth millions.

Since its 1993 broadcast, Nirvana’s Grammy Award-winning MTV Unplugged session has since been granted legendary status (even if the songs are a little lacking), so it’s no surprise that Kurt Cobain’s acoustic guitar is now estimated to be worth millions.

The guitar, a 1959 Martin D-18E, was passed down to his daughter Frances Bean Cobain, who then allegedly gifted the priceless relic to her husband Isaiah Silva. Now estranged and embroiled in a divorce, the former husband and wife are fighting for possession of the guitar responsible for the best-ever Lead Belly cover. Silva refuses to give it up and Frances denies she ever gave it to him.

The guitar is all the more valuable because it’s said to be the last guitar Kurt played before his death, and is only one of 300 made.

“It’s not his to take,” Courtney Love told TMZ when asked about Silva’s claim on the instrument. She then said the “treasured heirloom” was meant to stay within the family and said Frances “never planned” on giving it away permanently.
