Just in time for what would have been the legendary rapper’s 45th birthday, a teaser for the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me has appeared online, and it looks promising.

The film aims to be the go-to depiction of one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures, from his start in hip-hop in California to his tragic murder in 1996. No word yet on whether the movie will include crucial scenes of Tupac’s bucket-hat years backup dancing in Digital Underground, or his art-school association with the Young Communist League, but I’m guessing those might be a little downplayed.

Demetrius Shipp Jr. absolutely looks the part, but it’s still impossible to tell whether All Eyez On Me will be the unimpeachable Me Against The World of biopics, or a posthumous cash-in like Until The End of Time? Music video director and Director X protegé Benny Boom is directing, and Jamal Woolard is reprising his 2009 role as Biggie, so signs point to at least a 2Pacalypse Now.

All Eyez On Me releases November 11.
