The Sonic Youth founder is feelin' the Bern on a super limited vinyl release.

Perpetually hopeful (but unlikely) Democratic Presidential nominee Bernie Sanders already has a few musicians and other cool arty types in his corner, Billy Corgan notwithstanding. The Vermont senator’s paeans to basic human decency and progressive estate taxes resonate greatly with the creative class… can’t imagine why.

Now, Sanders can count one more indie-rock legend in his corner, and this one’s not content with just a public endorsement: Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore. Moore feels the Bern, and he’s showing it the only way he knows how: by recording and releasing a limited-run square, white flexi-disc vinyl single called “Feel It In Your Guts” that features excerpts from Sanders campaign speeches.

According to the record’s description from its Joyful Noise product page, the song “is a twelve-string acoustic piece laced with excerpts from Bernie Sanders’ speeches, touching on topics like the worship of money, economic inequality, social justice, and the need for basic human rights for all people.”

The physical release of “Feel It In Your Guts” is limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies with screenprinted artwork, all of which are now sold out, but don’t fret! You can still cop a digital download for the low, low price of $0.00 … provided you have a screenshot proving you’ve donated to the Sanders campaign.

Not sure how keeping “Feel It In Your Guts” from people whose minds it might actually change is a good idea, but there you go. Your move, Loretta Lynn.
