In 100 years, Michael Jordan might be remembered as much for the shoes as for the meme.

The Crying Jordan meme is a cultural phenomenon, and not simply because it captured basketball’s most vicious, visceral competitor at his rare weak point (mere moments before his ruthlessly unforgiving Hall of Fame speech). If you keep up with basketball twitter, it’s inescapable. At this point, it is an art form.

It has, in fact, gotten to the point where, 100 years from now, Michael Jordan might be remembered as much for the shoes as for the meme. ScHoolboy Q hopes he can join in on the legacy, unveiling his new album with a faceless crying Jordan as its album art.

ScHoolboy Q’s follow-up to 2014’s Oxymoron, the Blank Face LP, comes out on July 8th.
