The two titans of CanCon alt-rock remember how good it feels to be alive.

At last, ’90s Cancon fans have a reason to cash in their vintage bucket hats and Tamagotchis: Our Lady Peace and I Mother Earth are heading out on a 10-date national tour. No word on whether or not admission will require a Hypercolor tee and white golf visor.

I Mother Earth, whose sophomore album Scenery and Fish was released 20 years ago as of April, will kick off the tour in Abbotsford, BC on October 15th, and will continue on through Western Canada and Ontario. Sorry, Winnipeg ’90s IME lovers, looks like you’ll be spending summertime in the void of crunchy alt-rock licks.

The band are fresh off their reunion shows in Toronto earlier this month, performances which marked the first time IME played with original vocalist Edwin since 1998, before he famously pleaded with us all to realize how good it feels to be alive.

As for Raine Maida and co., they’re as stoked as the average RRSP contributor about the pairing: “From [IME’s] very first album Dig, the tour that followed and the Edgefests after that they solidified themselves as a seminal CDN rock band. To share the stage again is exciting both for our common fans and selfishly for us as well” Maida said in a statement. I’m sure Edwin feels the same way: stoked as hell to hear those falsetto parts in “Superman’s Dead” again.

Here are the dates for the IME/OLP tour:

10/15 Abbotsford, BC – Abbotsford Centre
10/16 Kelowna, BC – Prospera Place
10/17 Grand Prairie, AB – Revolution Place
10/19 Calgary, AB – Grey Eagle Event Centre
10/20 Edmonton, AB – Shaw Conference Centre
10/21 Medicine Hat, AB – Canalta Centre
10/24 Toronto, ON – Massey Hall
10/27 London, ON – Budweiser Gardens
10/28 Ottawa, ON – TD Place Arena
10/29 Oshawa, ON – General Motors Centre
