Lucy DeCoutere also quit after Mike 'Bubbles' Smith was accused of domestic assault.

Since 1999, Mike Clattenburg’s mockumentary series Trailer Park Boys has brought the pride of Sunnyvale to comedy fans. However, with the show returning for its 10th season on Netflix, some of the most familiar faces have left. Lucy DeCoutere announced her resignation after Bubbles actor Mike Smith was arrested with charges of domestic battery. Now, Jonathan ‘J-Roc’ Torrens has also made his departure.

Announcing this “hard decision” over Twitter, the actor who also directed five episodes and has writing credits dating back to 2002 used some slang terms familiar to fans of his struggle rapper character: “Time to hang up the ol’ do-rag. Nomesayin? BRRRAPS to all y’all for riding dirty with the Rocpile. HAAAAHN?”

Torrens didn’t provide any more specific reasons, but did clarify that it “feels right” to make his exit after 10 seasons with some follow-up commentary on his Taggart and Torrens podcast.

“Every six months since it started I’ve thought ‘Well, that’s got to be that, then.’ And it continues to find new audiences everywhere. Ten is a nice round number and feels like a nice way to exit…. As hard as the decision was, it feels right.”
