Watch The Lonely Island's 'Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping' trailer

The time has finally come to get a glimpse of the new Lonely Island movie that’s been dangled in front of faces for quite a while now. Yes, this hard-hitting look at the Spanish Civil War and the psychological imp– Nah, we’re just fucking with you. It’s going to be a gloriously ridiculous pop-comedy.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping features Andy Samberg as a delusional (yet somehow more grounded than Bieber) pop megastar that revels in sold-out shows, wild fans and all the holograms of Adam Levine 1 grinding Adam Levine 2 that you can handle. Presumably Samberg’s Conner4Real is headed for a spectacular downfall, but right now it’s good times and having boobs pressed against limo windows. Oh, and there’s an avalanche of famous faces dicking about for assorted reasons. (Also, is Bill Hader reprising his role of Dave from Hot Rod?)

As you might expect from a Lonely Island offering, Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone wrote the film with Schaffer and Taccone tackling directing duties. We won’t give away all the stars that find themselves milling around this thing, so consider this a gentle nudge to take the trailer for a test toast. If you’re a fan this will give the vapours and if not you’ll want to hurl your viewing device into a marsh. (This author is a Lonely Island stan, so he thinks it’s cool beans.)

Popstar: Never Stop Popping is due to hit theatres on June 3rd, 2016.
