Roger Taylor's daughter Tigerlily was teased by kids playing Queen to her non-stop.

Kids can be mean. Like, way meaner than adults: for some reason it’s still cool to pull your parents’ shortcomings into it à la Eddie Murphy.

And while teasing other kids about their family being on welfare is clearly (brutally) effective, for some reason giving someone shit about their parents having done something awesome works nearly as well.

Tigerlily Taylor is a 21-year-old model, but her biggest claim to fame remains her lineage – her father is none other than Queen drummer Roger Taylor. However, Tigerlily recently revealed to the Evening Standard that while attending the exclusive Bedales boarding school, she discovered being the daughter of a rock legend had its cons and even turned her off of Queen’s music for a bit.

“I used to listen to them so much when I was younger but I strayed away because I used to get bullied at school. People would put them on at a party and be like, ‘Ha! Ha!’, so I kind of developed a bit of an aversion to them for a while. But I do love their music.”

She’s now gotten past what I think I’ll refer to as ‘the mother of all first-world problems,’ though there may be other ways kids bullied her, given the fact that her name is Tigerlily.

Later in the interview, Taylor revealed that she enjoys getting behind the kit herself. It turns out, though, that while her father is an influence, he apparently is a far better performer than drum teacher.

“It does come naturally but [my father] is the worst teacher in the whole world. He thinks he’s simplifying things and he’s not.”
