At least 34 people were killed and hundreds injured in bomb attacks on the Belgian capital.

At 8 a.m. local time in Brussels, Belgium this morning a series of coordinated bomb attacks occurred in the city’s main airport and metro system. At least 34 people were killed and hundreds injured.

The UK Telegraph reports that this follows the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, the primary suspect behind November’s Paris attacks, who was found in the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek.

Savannah, Georgia metal band Baroness had traveled into Brussels for a live performance this evening. Thankfully, all of their members are safe, as they reported in a statement on Instagram:

“We are not in Brussels. We don’t know what’s going on, or where we are going to go yet, but we’ll try to keep you up to date, and we’re going to look into playing a show somewhere. Everyone we know is ok at the moment, and we hope you all are as well. There were a couple bomb attacks in Belgium today, and we’re responding as best we can with the info we have. Stay tuned and everyone please be safe.”

In 2012, Baroness suffered a bus crash off a viaduct in England, injuring nine passengers.
