These photos of musicians with koalas are the cutest thing you'll see all day

As the good folks at Metal Hammer have noted, it’s time for Soundwave in Brisbane—meaning that Australia is being flooded by musicians large and small. If you haven’t heard of the festival, check the lineup; it’s a genuinely massive festival, featuring names as diverse as Panic! At the Disco, Alice in Chains, and Rob Zombie. (Not to mention, oddly, emo circa 2003 in Finch, Glassjaw, and Authority Zero. Who knew they still existed?)

But playing Soundwave isn’t the only thing those musicians are doing in Australia. No, they, as we, are only human, so upon arriving, they did what any sane person would do: Go find some god damn koalas.

So, without further comment, here are photos of rock stars posing with god damn koalas. God damn.

 

Panic! At the Disco

The Panic! At the Disco boys have been going steady since 2004, when singer Br—wait, is that a fucking baby koala? THAT IS A FUCKING BABY KOALA.

 

Mastodon and Baroness

The bearded, burly fellas of Mastodon and Baroness might make angry faces in their press photos, but they’re all smiles while cuddling with a widdle wee kowaley.

 

Defiled

While this U.K. act looks like they’ve been raised on a diet of Jameson and Jagermeister and bacon, they likely asked for eucalyptus on their rider, if only to accommodate their new koala buddy.

 

Crosses

Crossses is the new project by Deftones singer Chino Moreno—not be confused with Halifax’s Crosss (who we also love). And while we dig their artful electronic fare, we like Shaun Lopez—formerly of Far—hanging with a koala even more.

 

Black Veil Brides
