Irish meat pie has never been more intense.

Lemme guess – your new year’s resolution was to spend more time in the kitchen, but so far you’ve been slacking off because those cookbooks are just so boring. We hear you. And apparently so has Linzey Rae, vocalist for Denver metalcore band The Anchor.

For those who prefer their cooking instructions intense and guttural, Rae dropped a hilarious clip of herself in the kitchen preparing the perfect winter comfort dish of Shepherd’s Pie while reciting a recipe she grabbed from food.com – sung to the tune of fellow metalcore group The Ghost Inside’s “The Great Unknown.”

As it turns out, the curious culinary cover was created for a noble cause: all proceeds from Bandcamp downloads of the song will go to its original performers The Ghost Inside, who were involved in a horrific bus accident last year.

As for Linzey, full points for the Julia Child-esque getup and lulling us into a false sense of security before shifting into beast mode and slaying the parody tune. Irish meat pie has never been more intense.
