They aren't going to take Fred and Carrie's exploitation of their beloved city.

Ever seen a Portland band, completely earnestly, get mad at and write a song about the TV show Portlandia for, in their words, “running Portland into the ground”? No? Well, it’s your lucky day:

These guys seem like a blast to hang out with. I’m not sure if two comedians’ generally loving and gentle ribbing of “exploitation” of your city is responsible for an influx of yuppies and skyrocketing rent prices. I grant you it’s harder to write a catchy song about regional dynamics, state policies, and other contributing factors to gentrification though.

Actually, maybe White Glove aren’t entirely off base: I did consider moving to Cabot Cove, Maine after a fever-induced Murder, She Wrote marathon, so…
