Anonymous targeted the reverse-mohawked singer for his genteel activities.

Self-proclaimed twisted firestarters don’t often transform into dapper country gentlemen, at least without an accompanying reality TV show, but that appears to be the case with The Prodigy’s head yelper.

Keith Flint apparently maintains a genteel lifestyle in between stints yelling over Liam Howlett’s high-energy productions, but one new countryside pastime is drawing criticisms.

The Prodigy singer has been accused of embarking on a fox hunt with a local Essex hunting party, which is especially ironic when you take into account the art for their last album, The Day Is My Enemy. The Prodigy: The Fox Is My Enemy just didn’t strike the right tone, I guess.

In a message posted to the hyper-popular British electronic act’s Facebook page, Flint confirms that he did go out with a local trail hunt, but no animals were hunted or killed. Apparently it “wasn’t his thing” and he “won’t be going out again.”

Flint was first called out by hacker group/basement aficionados Anonymous after initial reports about his leisure time activities surfaced in the English press.

As I’m sure we’re all aware, fox hunting was banned in the UK in 2005, with Sports Minister Tracey Crouch calling the activity a “pursuit from the past” that should be “consigned to history.” Of course, we still have organized fox hunts here in Canada, if for some reason you feel the need to rain death upon an innocent, terrified creature. And who doesn’t, from time to time?
