Five Finger Death Punch cancel show following ISIS attack warning

The attacks at Paris’ Bataclan concert hall during an Eagles of Death Metal performance continue to send out shockwaves with a new wave of targets allegedly uncovered by a group within Anonymous.

The International Business Times first reported that Anonymous offshoot OpParisIntel released a statement uncovering a string of ISIS attacks that would take place on Sunday. These included a concert from Las Vegas metal band Five Finger Death Punch at the Alcatraz venue in Milan, Italy, a pair of EDM events in Paris, and a wrestling event in Atlanta. — Feast of Christ the King celebrations (Rome/Worldwide)
— Al-Jihad, One Day One Juz (Indonesia)
— University Pastoral Day (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon)

Anonymous have since absolved themselves from these attack warnings, stating the following over Twitter: “We did not spread any rumors about possible future ISIS attacks, and frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from.” According to a local Atlanta news report, the WWE event went on as scheduled with thousands of fans attending alongside high alert security and no incident occurring. Five Finger Death Punch decided to cancel their performance, citing safety concerns in a statement on Facebook:

As some of you may be aware, there were many rumors today that the Milan show on Sunday, November 22nd will be targeted in a next wave of terror attacks like we saw in Paris last week. We did our best in a very short amount of time to work with the local promoter and authorities to ensure that security would be adequate. Unfortunately, we did not receive confirmation in time to satisfy our requirements and to ensure that our fans would be safe at the event. Therefore, we were forced to postpone the show to a later date. Please stay tuned for more info.
