JT provides his voice and original music to the nightmare fuel doll film.

UPDATE: Justin Timberlake has released his first single from the Trolls soundtrack, “Can’t Stop The Feeling.” The video for the peppy, probably-soon-to-be-inescapable summer jam features cast members such as Gwen Stefani, Anna Kendrick, Ron Funches, and James Corden. So yes, that probably means we’re going to get a JT Carpool soon too.

He’s a troll man! (Do do do do do…)

Singer/actor extraordinaire Justin Timberlake continues to see how much goodwill he can burn up with the news that he’ll be a major player in Dreamworks’ new animated feature Trolls. Based on the nightmare fuel dolls of the name, this big screen adaptation will not only feature a voice from Timberlake, but also an executive music producer credit and the promise of original music for the soundtrack.

When the news was first announced, we were banking on JT popping up in Troll 3, but you can’t piss on studio hospitality.

Timberlake, who is far from the most troll-esque *NSYNC alum out there (WE SEE YOU CHRIS KIRKPATRICK), will voice the character of Branch. The Hollywood Reporter describes Branch as “a hilariously hardcore survivalist who hides his surprising true colours.” Um, do with that what you will.

In addition to having Justin Trollberlake onboard, the film also features Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, Russell Brand, Ron Funches, and Icona Pop (really!) in the cast. The movie is slated to hit theatres on November 4, 2016 and here’s a tweeted pic that we’ll leave for you troll fetishists. We’re not here to kink shame.
